A option to Flip Overview

I know the overview is like it is but many people like to have the "Selected Item" menu on the bottom of the page. But then you hit a problem of everything being so far from each other

Overview like it looks now

but would be nice to have the option of flipping the overview to this.

While I wouldn't use it, I can definitely see it being very well accepted and used by others. +1

Though if it doesn't go through, selected item could always be placed above the overview?
