Is it inhumane to kill capsuleers if only their body dies and not their consciousness?
Does clone consciousness between capsuleers vs. non-capsuleers create class struggle?
Would one or both classes approve of the destruction of a consciousness fora a death penalty?
What would be a true death penalty in EVE?
Would a civilian in Nullsec be tried by the current sovereignty there?
Do pirate NPCs have clones, and would it be illegal in empire spaces or not? Why wouldn't it? Would it be inhumane to let criminals truly die?
Couldn't their consciousness be captured in transit and stored in some jailing facility?
Couldn't pirates invent consciousness capture technology or destruction technology?
Is there no governing body between the main empires to deal with such an upcoming threat?
BLARGH What?

EDIT: Would a medical facility get sued if a clone consciousness was lost?
Why don't pirates steal stations and threaten the lives of the clones stationed there and hold them for ransom?
EDIT 2:
If a player-made medical facility got blown up while capsuleers clones were stationed there, shouldn't the capsuleers be lost forever once they die if they don' t buy a new clone in time?

Is it inhumane to kill capsuleers if only their body dies and not their consciousness?
It is not inhuman to kill the Bene Gesserit of EVE Online, they deserve it, especially considering how hard it would be

Does clone consciousness between capsuleers vs. non-capsuleers create class struggle?
Yes, capsuleers are basically gods that treat regular humans like literal cattle, if you tried hard enough and broke all the rules you could create an army of clones with your memories

Would one or both classes approve of the destruction of a consciousness fora a death penalty?
Technically a consciousness "dies" when their pod is destroyed, the thing that gets sent back is an exact copy of their brain at the moment before death and is no longer the original person, but a new one with the same memories and experiences as the old one

What would be a true death penalty in EVE?
Biomassing when you die and starting again with a new character, but keeping all your stuff

Would a civilian in Nullsec be tried by the current sovereignty there?
Civilians don't get into space in null unless they are trapped in a cargohold somewhere, Space Justice is the law regardless

Do pirate NPCs have clones, and would it be illegal in empire spaces or not? Why wouldn't it? Would it be inhumane to let
criminals truly die?
Some do, some don't, generally space criminals deserve what they have coming so no one complains when they cark it

Couldn't their consciousness be captured in transit and stored in some jailing facility?
They wouldn't be conscious anyway, its just a save state of their brain for all intents and purposes

Couldn't pirates invent consciousness capture technology or destruction technology?
Would be easier to blow up the cloning facility just after you kill them so they have nowhere to be cloned from or to

Is there no governing body between the main empires to deal with such an upcoming threat?
CONCORD exist

Would a medical facility get sued if a clone consciousness was lost?
Possibly

Why don't pirates steal stations and threaten the lives of the clones stationed there and hold them for ransom?
Stations are big things, lots of people in them, pirates are significantly less big, PoSes are tiny and they take a while to just blow up, imagine trying to raid and suppress one for a ransom

If a player-made medical facility got blown up while capsuleers clones were stationed there, shouldn't the capsuleers be lost forever once they die if they don' t buy a new clone in time?
If it happens before they die then it would likely just default as a basic clone to somewhere else and tell them to update their clone, the only way to kill a capsuleer is the catch them just after they have been cloned or when they aren't in their pod

No (but some players are accused of being inhumane IRL for doing so)
No
Maybe
There isn't one for Capsuleers
Ah, no. Just killed.
Not sure
Not with capsuleer cloning tech. Speak to the Gurista.
Yes - Valkyrie
Not yet. Just one very concerned Concord representative.

Sued by who? The dead guy?
Don't have enough power, military hardware or organisation
That would be good. Very harsh, but good.

Npcs must have clones somewhere. Screaming Dewak Humphrey has to update his clone thousands of times a day. The costs must be quite high. Perhaps that's why he's screaming.

I vote for permadeath.

Risk vs reward, right?

Players love their hardcore game, let's give them what they want!
