LP Stores and minor empire factions

So currently there are two minor factions in empire space - the Khanid and Ammatar.

Each have their own identity, however they're quite integrated with the Amarr in terms of lore. Being that they are their own respective factions, they have their own unique set of NPC corporations and mission agents, and their associated LP Stores are more or less themed for these factions.

The problem I'd like to see considered is that these LP Stores are quite anemic and not compelling when compared to the LP Stores found in Amarr faction NPC corps, so the only real reason to mission for these minor factions is if you happen to live in their far-flung areas for other reasons.

Yes, you can get Khanid Navy Ballistic Control Units and Ammatar Navy Heat Sinks and other such items, but other than the comparative rarity of such modules, they are the same as their major faction counterparts (CN BCUs, Imperial Navy Heat Sinks) which also tend to overshadow them on the market in terms of quantity and name recognition.

They have fallen behind even more in recent times with the introduction of faction mindlinks, and (according to Sisi) the pending introduction of faction drone modules. As the Sacrilege now bonuses HMLs, faction HMLs would be a good addition to the Khanid store, along side the HAMs which have always been there.

So, I'd like CCP to take another look at the Ammatar and Khanid LP Stores, and make them more compelling. A re-truing of their items would be a good start by itself. Maybe BPCs for Imp. Navy drone modules, or maybe some of the unique items from the FW LP store.

There are a hell of a lot more than two minor factions you know.

And there are a lot of them that need a little spicing up in the LP store side of things. Besides that minor factions which are found more in Khanid and Ammatar space often have 5 run BPC's in their LP stores for things like heatsinks, which are at a huge discount compared to the 1 run BPC's. That alone is enough reason to run these factions if you're just looking for LP-isk ratio income, but let's not focus on farming ISK.

I think after the module rebalancing and tiericide it might be a good time to add some more niche faction modules to the minor faction LP stores. It'll help encourage players to spread out and work standings up with more factions than just handful that people focus on right now, because they have the highest profit.

I was pointing out empire factions there, guy. Yeah, there's Syndicate (someone has a thread open specifically for that) and there's ORE (source of not much goodness unless a new ORE mining ship is released)

I posit that up until the Mordus ships came around, SoE and Thukker probably had the best LP stores of the minor factions (whether you count them as empire-dwelling factions or not is debatable, but still)

However Ammatar and Khanid are just a minor subset of a Amarr - oh look the best thing to spend my LP on are +3s which I can get anywhere else and not have to live in the boondocks to do so.

Those same BPCs are available in the science/industry NPC corps of the major faction. As an aside, it's interesting that (according to Sisi) the faction drone mods don't have 5-run BPCs available anywhere.

However they address it, I pretty much agree with the spirit of that

What Danika was referring to was not the few factions you see owning tiles on the map, but the dozens within every major faction.

NPC corporations are factions. They are so big and influential within the world of Eve that they might as well be individual nations.

Ammatar and Khanid remain separate from Amarr on the map because they saw which way the wind was blowing and threw their chips into the winner's corner. Their bet paid off, and they got to keep their spot on the map, but they are part of the Amarr empire. That separate color on the map means nothing. Caldari is a conglomeration of megacorps, so guess where they fit in? Minmatar corps are often identified with tribes because, that's right.... The tribes are individual factions..... Etc, and so on...

In other words, those science/industry NPC corps within the major factions? They are their own faction. That's why you earn standing and LP with them separately from other NPC corps that also fall under the umbrella of that "major" faction.
