There was some miscommunication, and at one point I asked for a refund. He refunded the fee without hesitation. After we got everything straightened out, we paid the fee again. He did the standings boost service and it went great.

Actually, the updates you're referring to wont be implemented until late July. Maybe you should pay attention to announcements?

So... with that said, perhaps you could save your crowing until then? If you don't want to use a service, don't be such a toolbag about it. If others want to spend their Isk to play the game the way they want to play, let them. Nobody made you the boss of fun.
