I do not understand why Max Brooks doesn't puts a stop to the horrible things they are doing. World War Z, an excellent book. That just happend to get a Movie that shared it's name, apparently the horrible things he did wasn't just enough for the director.

There is going to be a sequal, he couldn't just leave it alone.
Anyone care to guess how many sequals this franchise is going to get?, and they have the gall to say it's based on the book..

My guess is there will be WWZ 5 as well

He should have given the TV rights to HBO to do it proper as a mini series / series with each chapter broken up into events. Then done band of brothers style with the "survivors" talking about it to a camera.

Like the book was, it would have been way better.
Not to forget how the battle of yonkers would have been done, and all the other moments that had me chewing on my Nails..

Because he has no say, what typically happens is the author sells the rights to the project to whomever, most can't gain creative control over the project. So once they sell the rights, that's it. Th studio can do whatever the hades they want, and the author has zero say. It is rare for an author to retain any creative control. George RR Martin did because of how long he held out. They had to give him that crumb. Whereas some other don't care. "Want to make a movie and you will pay me how much? sure go ahead"

That film wasn't World War Z.

I havent been this upset about a film based on a book since Eragon. (Eragon is still my most hated movie)

**** you Hollywood. **** you.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

god I hated that movie... The elves had no ears and too much emotion, the dwarfs were.... human.... plus all the other crap they changes and messed up. I had not been that mad at an adaptation since they butchered Battlefield Earth, and that was a ****** movie

And the dragons voice was too human! for god shakes, put a filter on the acctress' voice! grrr...

Max Brooks has zero control I am sure. I hold out hope that one day there will be something that gives the book fair treatment. God knows that pile of crap movie didn't.

The Omega Man was a much better adaptation tbh.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

While World War Z the movie had nothing to do with World War Z the book (other than there being zombies of course), it was still a pretty interesting zombie movie.

There's just something creepy about things that use every ounce of their will, strength, and agility to come at you teeth first, disregarding any thought for its own safety at all. That movie was full of that, and still managed to differentiate itself from other archetypical zombie types seen in other films.

This this a thousand times this!

Unless the studios REALLY want your works (so unless youre J K Rowling, Tolkien or Martin) theyll play hardball and toss you.

Still sad about it all. Youd have thought his dad would have leant some weight behind him.
