Am I the first to mention that bookmarks are saved on the server?

Oh I am!

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

You know, the ingame web browser, i mean you must be new here or have you literally never clicked a website link or image linked ingame without alt tabbing :P

I have not

I was not aware that the ingame browser had been fixed so that it was no longer a slow useless pile of garbage that couldn't accept the simplest plug in or use flash.

So... you want CCP to change how Windows works?

I'm confused as to what this is actually suggesting. They can't make bookmarks and stuff like that server side, because lag. They can't change the technological process by which you copy information from one hard drive to another. What are you actually asking for?

uh, why would server side bookmarks cause lag? Server side bookmarks already exist when copying and trading bookmarks. Window position being client side makes sense. I just really wish overview settings were server side.

Yes but it involves roofies and excessive use of lube....Shocked

Is there actually a statement where CCP thinks that moving this stuff server-side will cause lag? I mean, most settings probably come up to a whopping two megabytes per person or something.

And tons of other games use some sort of cloud service to sync across devices.
