Dear ccp developers.

Please make eve more user friendly outside the game, recently i had to move my game from one HD to another and i lost all of my in game settings ( bookmarks, windows position, graphic settings and so on), i know that there is a way to save it and the copy it all to the same directory or something like that, but why not to make it more easy like a 1 click setup, or to save it somewhere in game like profiles .

so please think about it it would save for a lot of us a lot of problems and time
tnx.

It's too bad there isn't a forum to discuss Features and Ideas ...

He's not really got grounds to talk, considering

SCUM are pretty good pirates really. Very true to their name. Exactly how you'd expect pirates to be.

I like the feature suggestion/idea too.

So... you want CCP to change how Windows works?

I'm confused as to what this is actually suggesting. They can't make bookmarks and stuff like that server side, because lag. They can't change the technological process by which you copy information from one hard drive to another. What are you actually asking for?

It can be copied, open up the C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE folder and you'll find a folder named after where you "used" to have EVE installed and a new one named where you "currently" have EVE installed, i'm sure the rest is self e

I think he's asking for the information thats stored in the Profile section to be moved to the EvE exe folder.

i`m asking for an option to save all your in game settings like the position of the windows and graphic settings to online profile, so that if 1 day u will have a system/client crash or you will move your eve folder to another drive you wont have to spend hours to make all the little things in eve (that we are getting used to so much) like it used to.

maybe its not possible to save everything on the servers but some kind of an option in the repair application that will connect to the old setting or something like that.
i`m not a programmer so i really have no idea how to do it, it`s just a thought and a suggestion.

I'm pretty sure they have a "setting import/export" thing that they are looking into so people can easily save and reload their setting to/from a file.

Yeah the main setting thing isn't built yet. See link in my edited post above. The more people showing interest in there, the faster it gets done.

It used to be, but it was causing too many issues with multiple accounts along with multiple installs so it was moved to the user profile like most games, a lot of games tend to use the "My Games" folder inside "My Documents"

To be fair i can't say i've ever really had to move a client install after installing it as i have a drive with all my games installed on it

So make the game friendly right before it rapes them horribly?

Is there a better way to approach someone before that happens?
