Returning to EVE after a couple of years brake

I just reactivated my account and boy allot has changed or I have forgotten almost every thing.

I mainly reactivated it to keep training skills if I ever have more time on my hands in the future.

I have at least 1-2 hours to play in a week so I need some recommendations on what I should do with those hours in EVE.

I have 900k isk in wallet. I am in secure space I have a poorly fitted catalyst and a bestower. And I have a Megathron some 25 jumps away in a 0.0 system. I do not feel comfortable after all these years away to fly down there and fetch it.

What I want to do is to log on and make some casual ISK for 1 or 2 hours a week. How should I go about?

Thank you.

Exploration in low sec.

So you need 2 weeks of training to fly a 5 mil frig and make about 10mil per hour. Relatively safe.

On Youtube, 'Eve online exploration and hacking guide'

Watched the video. It looked interesting. Thank you. I will need to look better into that.

Forum warrioring, not the most involved thing but several orders of magnitude more engaging than anything any other mmo can offer.

(Losec exploring is actually the best sounding, I'd recommend the sisters of eve ships or a t3)

Low sec is where you will be killed. Spend hours scanning wormholes and combat sites to finally find a single data site just to be killed there by cloacked hunter, who keep this data site camped to lure and kill explorers like you.

Sell your Megathron. Get your catalyst to Simela and start doing security missions for Sisters of Eve.

If you get killed you lose a 5mil frig (probe 500k + prototype cloak 1.5mil + sisters scan probes 3mil + inexpensive fit)
You cant get podkilled if you know what you're doing.

He's a returning player so he'll know the risks.
I wouldn't recommend this to a starting player. You need a basic understanding of game mechanics to survive.

Just don't probe in Caldari low sec. Gallente and Amarr low sec are much more quiet.

You can redo the tutorials/career missions to refresh your memory about the game mechanics and get a few cheap frigates and some ISK. Exploration, either data/relic sites in low-sec or combat sites in high-sec could work with the limited time you have. Tbh you don't even need a cloak and sister scanner probes to do exploration in low-sec if you know how to pay attention. Another activity you can look into is faction warfare.

I already have the skills for the covert frigate but lack the scanner skills. I have moved my character to a gallante starting system to do the tutorial. My characters skills are combat orientated so both FW and the explorer route are attractive.

I lived in low sec almost all the years I played before i left. I know situational awareness is key to survive. But I am still not ready to move there if I do until after doing some tutorial and maybe FW to refresh my memory on mechanics. While doing so I can train the necessary skills for exploring.

Thank you all for your help.
