EVE NEWS - Eve website landing page

While I think the intention of the EVE News section on the website (Right hand Section of the page) has potential for more immerse game play through story background etc, this is undermined by the very slow updating of the details listed.

As it stands for example, since 11/07/2011 a Caldari scientist's defection still causes a stir amongst sections of capsuleer community (apparently).


I would like to suggest either editing this space of the site more regularly if CCPs intention is to promote the background story etc or instead, use the space taken up for something else.

I've actually thought the same (well, ok similiar)

It'd be nice to see some player written stories, maybe.

My preference would be to utilise the space for new player guides, video tutorials and player content

Oh my - does EVE move this slowly; 6 months on and still EVE landing page is telling us capsuleers are still stirred about some scientist doing a bunk!!!

Has really nothing happened in EVE since July 2011? Joking aside, If I was a curious new potential player coming to the EVE website for the first time and seeing old news like this I would have to wonder about content being updated etc. Lets keep the news fresh or use the space for something more creative.

I remember it used to get updated 2 or 3 times a day, stories from ISD about what is happening in null, Interviews with people that "were there" that sort of stuff..

And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell.
