What language would you learn?

This is just for fun. After seeing the post about French localization coming to EVE and the request for a French forum, I began to think about the language differences in this game, and how great it is playing with such an amazingly diverse player base. So my question is, to improve your game experience and enjoyment, what language would you want to know, beyond your native language. I ask this as someone who is mostly an English speaker (with some casual Spanish).

I would like to know Russian. They have a big player base and seem so foreign to me. Russia seems so foreign and different to me as an American and former service member.

What about you all? What language would you want to know, to better enjoy EVE?

I'd guess German. I already know Russian insults but could do with some more.

Eve should have it's own language for tasteful RPing. "Scrub" is a beautiful word.

I know some Russian, it's hard to speak but easy to understand, you just need to spend a lot of time listening to it, watch movies or listen to music, spend time studying, if you don't spend a lot of time around a language, you'll have to memorize more, it seems overwhelming which deters a lot of people but so much of the way we are and how we evolve is a life time process anyway, you just need to start one day. Then you blink your eyes and you realize 7 years went by and you have an excellent skill that you EARNED. I would suggest something like french, or german. Learning a completely different alphabet can be hard for a while so I wouldn't even bother with something like Japanese or mandarin, but anything is doable if you have enough dedication, you just need to stick with it.

edit- just wanted to add that with the amount of time it takes, pick something you like listening to, for me it was Russian but if it's japanese for you then do that. those languages just aren't for me, i'd rather be really good at one then ok at 3 or 4, and if I can do it then anyone can, you just need to decide to start.

I actually do know some Japanese. I was stationed there in the US Navy. I know about enough to get drunk, have women turn me down for sex, and find my way home.

Divine
Unlike the The Fifth Element which had 400 words, I would think that the true Divine language is based on binary, being two words: one for on and the other for off. Far more efficient and flexible. Not only could one communicate the language, but also see or visualize this language, such as like in the Matrix. It's uses carry into interdimensional communication where our traditional languages would break down. It's also quite possibly the language spoken at the base level of all matter according to quantum theory/physics. It has also been referred to as the cosmic code, but I consider it to transcend our limited understanding of language and it's usage. If I could speak this language, I could probably even fix stupid, which is impossible at this point from our limited common languages.

The problem today is that quantum physics is showing us things arent just black and white, yes or no, up or down, true or false, 1 or 0. There are many shades of grey and that is where binary breaks down. Quantum computers will exploit this and blow away binary based processing.

Im partial to Octal myself. Never cared much for Hex.

You are speaking of a result, while the result runs ontop of the base, which is fundamentally binary at it's core. Something is either true of false, it's there or it's not there, and binary can be both there and not there once it is connected into bits. Quantum entanglement is at it's heart, binary. And at that, you are basing your forum opinion on a projection (as many have), not the source. This is deeper than any wikipedia article one can comment from. So it remains, you cant fix stupid, not with our present tools and communications.
