Everybody In System On Local?

Using dscan noted a couple ships in dscan (and their pilots) were not showing up in local. Am I screwing up (again) or is there a way to cloak out of Local? I understand that many times these people are just passing through, but should they not show up in Local?

Many times there are ships that have no pilot just sitting inside of a PoS forcefield.

If a pilot disconnects, his ship may show in local for a period of time, even though his avatar will not.
Aggression timers, NPC timers etc. all leave the ship in space for a time.

Ship in space != pilot in space.

I have seen unpiloted ships with the name set creatively parked at a safe and used as bait for a few cloakies. Good times.

Aside of that local only show pilots in 64 AU or so, if I remember the range right.

Not even anomalies on system scanner are limited to the 64AU they used to be. But please, keep posting as though you have a single clue what you are saying.

It's rare that I see a pos without at least one unpiloted ship in it. That's almost certainly what you're seeing on D-scan.

I have seen your other forum post and had seen that you were having trouble with cloakys.

Here are some things that might help

*Go to a sight and constantly move with your After burner on so they cant catch up.

*Be aware of D scan and look at guides to set up overview and filters and find a layout that works for you.

*Look at maybe going into nullsec to rat deep in goon space with the rest of eve :/


Also fly a vindicator it will help with ratting :D
