You are not actually wearing the monocle or clothes. Your digital projection is. CQ is a module inside your brain to give you the false sensation that you're outside your capsule. You look like this:

Been over this a million times, there's now crew on your ship in game.

And eve lore says that there both are or are not crews on capsuler ships depending on what you read.

internet spaceships

are serious business sir.

Speaking of clones... How is it we wear all these fancy clothes, but when we die and become a corpse in space we are naked? Must have been one hell of an explosion to burn my clothes and hair off, but not leave a mark on my skin. Isn't space amazing.

But what's really cool is that, whatever station you end up being cloned in, you have your full wardrobe available right there! Your monocle, your precision boots, your Quafe t-shirt, and your whatever field jacket. I guess when you buy something from the NEX store, you're actually buying unlimited copies of the swag, ready for you at in any station in the cluster! Smile

Why do you think your pants costs millions of isk

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

I imagine if crews were used in a somewhat similar way to teams, they could be bid on by corporations which can gain one (or even several; number restricted through skill) crew types which then apply to the corporation members (or are distributed through roles, one at a time per member). Crews shouldn't be better than a single hardwiring and would be something a corporation could distinguish oneself from others in focus of purpose.

So, with the cloning technology advances that will be coming with EVE: Valkyrie (long distance podless cloning, in case you haven't heard) could we have a system by which we get cloned crews for our ships? At least lorewise? Alternatively, a corporation or alliance could recruit a pool of crew members for their ships. Since they wouldn't die forever when their ship gets blown up, you could train a crew to give you a bonus to your capabilities for them being more competent (and not really worried about dying). Thoughts?

Lore wise, if I remember correct, the success ratio for becoming a pod pilot/clone is small. What happens for the rest .. well .. there is this short story called the "jovian wet grave" or something like that.

Not sure how the lore has advanced exactly over the years though. In the latest trailers there seems to be a claim that one has to die first to transfer into pod pilot status and the relations between different clones are pretty fuzzy atm as far as I understand. I mean pod vs implant in the head (dust) vs some kind of special fighter cabin / mind reader .. umm .. thingy for Valkyrie.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.
