Track System Indices By Corporation Alone

PETITION: Change System Index Tracking To Only System Owner Corporation Member Input

At present, any amount of ratting or mining will contribute to a system index, thus removing incentive for a given corporate owner of a system to be directly involved in its development or management.

A simple though not simplistic approach sets the index to track only actions by members of that corporation.

If you take a system, you must use it to claim the rewards.

This increases member participation in null security space, which appears to dovetail nicely with the industrial goals that CCP has laid out for this expansion.

s/corporation/alliance/ and then I think this is useful (as, IIRC, systems are held by the alliance as a whole, and "corporation homes" are outside the game mechanics themselves) ...

edit -- though it's been ages since I've actually paid attention to sov mechanics.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I want more real estate. I want real estate to be something hard won and that inspires a spirited defense by its owners.

Fewer sharecroppers, more family farms.

Corporations don't own systems - alliances do. Umbrella alliances for renting would already handle this nicely, and surprise, they already exist...

You want people to do a lot of housekeeping then.
Oh man that would be great.
And there will be ISboxing maids with an army of rorquals and hulks to keep your system in high ranking.

I always wanted caldari maids in my ships .

No, the Science and Industry tab specifically mentions outposts, starbases, and other components of nullsec sov mechanics.

Then I would like this idea featured.

It solves the rental problem, the nullsec is loving empty problem, and gets the playerbase engaged with systems directly.

So this gets rid of holding corps. What else was it supposed to fix?
