Freighter bumping question

I was reading a thread and wondered.

If I got some of my bro's together and we just went to high sec for a 23 hour bump the freighter spree.
For ***** and giggles. while we would be holding drinking games and sining sea chanties on ts.

Basicly bump and agro freighters from down time till down time.

Would that be considered harassment?

It probably wouldnt as long as you dont do it all to the same person. Look at Burn Jita for example

By freighter pilots, probably. By CCP, doubtful (see the post below), especially if you go somewhere like Uedama where people such as MiniLuv and some of the CODE. boys will appreciate you for doing the bumping for them.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Bumping without a goal (financial or otherwise) would be considered harassment, actually. You can ask them for a ransom to stop bumping in order to be acceptable. Or you could just join the CODE structure and ask for a mining permit from freighters. You guys would have no trouble fitting in I'm sure.

This thread is missing something. Oh yes. Ahem.

YOU BASTARDS. THOSE FREIGHTER PILOTS ARE JUST MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS. WHY DON'T YOU DO SOMETHING USEFUL IN THIS GAME INSTEAD OF BEING JERKS AND BIG WHINY BABIES THAT CAN' DO ANYTHING BUT HARASS INNOCENT FREIGHTERS!!!!!!ONE!!ELEVEN!!!TY-ONE.

Ok, now it looks complete. Carry on good citizens; the emergency is over.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

They could always claim that their in game religion has stated that this day is ship mating day and that all virile pilots congregate in system abc (the spawning ground) and "bump uglies" with the largest ships they can find.
They could supply a coloured drink that claims to taste of fruit but in fact doesn't.

Confirming that you can get some pretty good rage outs from those guys.

And as someone else has said, Uedama is a great place to do this, hell, pretty sure you could sell it as a service.

If it's a dedicated OP then no- shouldn't be harassment. I'd advise you pick the same guy and see if you can bump him to the next stargate! Also - would drink to that

Drop 2 cans, or something about 150km apart and play 'soccer'/'football', Blitzball, Quiditch (SP?), bumping the targets into the cans to score a point. Make sure that there is an isk prize for the winning 'team', to do this just have both 'teams' pay in (say 1isk) and the winning team, at DT gets the prize. This way, it's worth twitching/youtubeing, and could turn into a new yearly player run event, thus you're not harrassing anyone, just providing content.

That idea amused me a lot more than it probably should have.

Sounds like a waste of 23 hours to me but whatever amuses you.

Now I have to consider supplying machariels for freighter bumping tournaments. Hm...

Make it really interesting: the loser gets ganked, and the hapless freighter gets ganked immediately thereafter. Twisted

I'm now envisioning a whole league built around freighter football. You could twitch TV that and make a fortune I think.

If you bump various freighters for 23 hours, it's doubtful they will ask you to stop.
If you bump one person's freighter for 23 hours without trying to blow it up, they most likely will (and should) step in.

Indeed, this idea is epic.

Why Uedama though? Freighter pilots are too vigilant there. Go for somewhere that is just as much of a choke point but that doesn't have a reputation of being a ganker haven, like Vylade.

Is it harrassment to attack someone repeatedly for training purposes (ie your own training)? Because you could just do it as a way to train up aspiring Machariel pilots.

I like the can idea, however I think if this is going to happen we need to get a little more creative.

Might I suggest two hoops constructed from mobile depots, or indeed an intricately woven space-basket?
