I trained Min Frig V and Gal Frig V...
CCP nerfs the Dramiel.... INTO THE GROUND.

I trained Battlecruiser V and Command Ships V...
CCP nerfs Heavy Missile Nighthawk.... INTO THE GROUND.

I trained Gallente Battleship V and Marauders V......
CCP names an expansion after my new ship, and no nerfs in sight...

Train amarr cruiser 5 and start flying absolution then... I started as minmatar when gallente was the best. Then I was lucky minmatar became best. then came the nano nerf and amarr was best. EVE always changes, get used to it.

lol, looks like you were to late for every FOTM... Lol

Look at the bright side, once you've trained for everything it won't matter what CCP nerfes next. Pirate

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Sticky: AFK Cloaking Thread It's not pretty, but it's there.

CCP doesn't need to nerf the kronos, it's already a huge under-performer.

1) Terrible range on the weapon system it was designed for, blasters. in bastion, they only do ~475 dps to the farther sanctum spawns, and can't reach almost any spawns with short range ammo

2) Weak capacitor. Kronos has the greatest difficulty running its guns and supporting a large armor repairer, where the other 3 marauders can do so (shields where appropriate) more easily.

3) Low mobility. Gallente blaster battleships like the megathron and vindicator both use decent mobility to allow their short range high tracking weapon systems to get in close, and dish out their damage potential, whereas other race ships have a much longer range, and don't need to get as close. The kronos however, cannot move around while in bastion, forcing it to play a game of stop and go, and leaving it additionally vulnerable in situations like wormhole space.

As far as marauders go,

Angel space: Vargur is top dog, Golem is decent
Sansha/Blood raiders: Paladin is top dog, by a long shot
Serpentis space: Weak to thermal, the Paladin still performs admirably
Gurista space: Golem comes out on top with full kinetic damage and 100% damage application at 70km or 10km.
Drone space: Paladin is top dog
Incursions: Shiny paladin fleet beats everything for vanguards
Solo C4 wormholes: Again, paladins are a beast.

Why does the Paladin so frequently outperform all the others? Because it is the stark opposite of the Kronos with its weapon system. It has very long optimal range that can be quickly switched between medium and long range, with sufficient tracking to still hit npc frigates before they get under the guns. The golem and vargur are decent, but the kronos is just bad.

Even for a Tom Gerard post, this is marginally 1/10.

Try harder, we know you can do better.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

But to solo C3's there is no better ship in the game than the kronos.

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.

Tom, if you could please stop training (for the wider community) we can all enjoy a nerf free existence. Tia.

I mean, I sort of get the Dramiel (though it was kind of OP) but the Nighthawk got pretty much nothing but buffs, unless you mean the Heavy Missile nerf, in which case how did you not see that coming a mile away?

Also please un-duct-tape yourself from the ceiling. KThx.

Kronos is for PvP. Ever seen a Kronos and on-grid-booster Eos crash a gatecamp together? It's scary.
