Neat stuff, but I was thinking more along the lines of this:

...actual actors, props and sets (green screen or otherwise), that sort of thing. Like how people create their own characters and stories based in the Star Wars universe. Would CCP frown upon something like that or do you think they'd be cool with it as long as it's from a fan perspective and is a non profit project?

There is a web series in the making called "The Gemini Artifice" (https://www.facebook.com/thegeminiartifice) and CCP announced plans to make their own TV series on Fanfest 2013 (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-04-29-eve-online-tv-series-announced-by-ccp). Other than that, I don't really recall any fan made stuff like this.

I remember hearing about EVE television series a while back but there doesn't seem to be any new news. Seeing a big budgeted film set in the EVE universe would be fantastic... maybe someday!
