150+ Million ISK for a typhoon!! :O

Purely based on the mineral market and mineral requirement changes.
You want it cheaper, you make miners earn less, people stop mining, prices go up from demand.

Drone region changes were at fault. Miners just earn a number.
When mineral prices go up, then in the long run...
prices for everything built with them go up,
and miners earn relatively the same again.

Yep and the Lanngisi agent gives out nearly 10K LP per mission so you can churn out an Astero every 3 missions.

10K LP is a nonsense. 2K for easy and 7K for time consuming one.

I would guess this would be dependent on how you have your SP set??

Eeeeh, they are a good chunk over any other faction frigate....But I don't mind it much. For the sake of balance, I'd say it needs to be brought in line with the other faction frigate/cruiser/battleship prices, but that's just me.

This is as nice as I get. Best quote ever https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4137165#post4137165

They are that much, because they are that damn good for what they were designed to do. The Astero and Stratios are good pvp ships when flown and fitted properly. Gecko Drones made the Stratios even better. If you think those ships are overpriced, wait a couple months and look at how much prices for the other pirate faction ships go up. Phantasm is going to skyrocket.

The other faction ships will go up and surpass the soe ships initially. I'm not convinced that they'll stay there though, at least not without chip drop rate tweaking on the soe ships. For soe ships to be built for LP, they have to provide better isk/lp than sisters probe launchers do. Currently the isk/lp is similar between the ships and launchers, but it would take a reduction in demand (not likely) or an increase is supply (more people missioning for soe) to move the price floor. For the ships to ignore the isk/lp ratio comparison, more chips would have to drop.

Go to null sec and make that money to pay for the ships.

You understand basic economics? Sicne there are other valuable things in SOE store peopel will NOT sell thsoe ships much cheaper when they farm it in missions. At same tiem the peopel that get the drops in 0.0 will not sell them chepae than high sec prices because they would be STUPID doing so.

Do you even understand basic economics? What he is suggesting would drop the prices of these ships....

Nah they don't need an LP adjustment, and LP is easy to get if you are not an explorer. It's all about supply and demand.
You supply the ships, we blowed them ups. It's really the only fun thing to do with exploration since all the big changes.

Pretty much this.

The Nestor is the only one actually overpriced. The Astero and Stratios are actually worth what people currently are paying for them. Especially now the Stratios can pack two geckos for more drone goodness.

EDIT:

... Just checked EVE central and Jita/Dodi/Amarr prices are all around where they have been for the last 3 weeks.

The only significant "price rise" is Hek near Lanngisi where there was an over supply and you have been able to get them for 10 mill less than the market elsewhere. Hek prices are now in line with the others so presumably someone has probably taken the opportunity to buy the surplus and ship them to Amarr where the prices are always highest .

I think someone was showing me a Stratios fit that was at like 900 DPS - I didn't save it - I think. 900 DPS from a cruiser is going to be expensive.

All 3 SOE ships and BPs are currently below the isk/LP ratio of Sisters probes and launchers if purchased in HS, so they aren't really overpriced. You're paying for the logistics of hauling it in from LS (since that's the only LP-efficient method of buying them currently).

It varies.

The ratio is 3 high LP missions = 1 astero or 2 core/expanded probe launchers

Usually the core probe launchers are the best value to cash in but last week it was astero. Core probes are also instant isk without the hastle of making and moving an astero.

Either way, I tend to mission at Lanngisi near Hek but clone jump to Amarr to cash in the LP. There is a sisters station with indusrty a few minutes from Amarr by hyper rigged interceptor. Ammar SOE prices are generally 5 to 10% higher than Hek. There are probably people making reliable ISK just freighting SOE items from Hek to Amarr.

Battleship DPS from a covops cruiser, the Stratios is worth the ISK. Note the 900DPS will drop back to about 700 after summer patch.

How many times do we have to explain that CCP doesn't control prices in EVE?

Well, they do set the initial materials or LP requirements which obviously do effect the initial prices. but I think the prices are justified for these ships. Nothing really good should be handed to you. These ships are worth your effort.

Keep them expensive. The frigate has the drone bonuses of the Tristan, 4 lows, 4 mids and the armor bonuses of the Punisher. It also has a covert ops cloak. I'm pretty sure if it was cheap that's just about the only frig anybody would fly.
