Cosmos BPC's/Talocan artifacts - Doing it wrong

A long time ago in a region far, far away I received a collection of BPCs for faction items that I shelved as I continued to grind Cosmos missions for standings.

Now these BPC's are cluttering up my BPO container and I thought I might make them and sell into the market. However, the cost of the talocan materials they are made of exceed the sell price of the resulting item.

Given there were changes made to the game since I received these, are people still making these or is it just that the market price for talocan materials is currently over inflated (in at least one case at Jita, I can see someone is manipulating the market, so ... could just be the result of market manipulation).

However, since I've been gone a while I thought I'd ask whether anyone still bothers with these?

Well, in case anyone wanders through this thread in the future. The underlying economics of these BPCs are bollocked.

A "Guise" cloaking device II retails for $55.6 million.

Currently one of the items needed to make it (out of a total of 9 items) sold for a low of $80 million in Jita over the past year. So, setting aside the cost of everything else needed to make it, its an isk hole.

The cosmos items are badly in need of a rebalance, many are useless. There was mention at fanfest of a module tiericide, so maybe eventually the cosmos stuff will be of use and worth making.

Yes, I watched that discussion. Here's hoping. Now if only there were a way to stuff these at the bottom of my container. Ugh

I have a small container called "Trash" where all my mostly-worthless stuff goes. Microjump drive BPCs, useless exploration rig BPCs, cosmos BPCs, etc.

I would suggest holding onto your COSMOS materials and BPCs for future use. CCP Fozzie has stated the COSMOS stuff is in the queue, in the 'soon' sense of the word, to be iterated on at some point. When this will happen I have no idea but logically speaking you should expect them to be made better than T2 but not as good as faction at some point in the future.

I collect this stiff, so if you decide you wanna try to change it into some cash let me know. I dont offer piles of isk seeing as its mainly worthless but i still pay for them.
