Hey everyone, this is my first forum post and I've had some trouble with glitches in EVE, so I've made a support ticket and a bug report, but haven't gotten anything back abou either of them. I was wondering if there's a better way to get ahold of anyone from CCP.

You could try smoke signals or perhaps offer a sacrifice to some obscure Viking deity.

By submitting a ticket through in-game you already got ahold of somebody at CCP. However, they cannot possibly reply to every submission quickly, nor they have to reply to all the bug reports. Other ways include posting in the appropriate forum, and that might be slightly better as you would get feedback from other players, also.

I had some big trouble the other day and went the support ticket route and got this after filling in a lengthy, non-emotional very descriptive bug report,

Stuff is mostly answered here, but I should add: the most recent iteration of the bug reporting system does not provide any feedback on your report. There is no indication of how it was filed, if/when it was/is/will be fixed, or anything. I cannot provide any info on why it is that way (because I don't know, not because I'm not allowed to), but I just wanted to post a heads-up to those expecting responses to bug reports.

There is also the possibility that the glitches you have experienced are also expected game play. Make a post on the forums detailing them (in New Players, not in General Discussion, oh god no, not ever General Discussion), and you'll get some helpful responses.

As Malcolm said, if you aren't sure if it is an intended feature, post in New Users Q & A.

Otherwise if you are sure it's a bug make a post in Issues & Workarounds forum, but read the first page or two to see if other people have this problem and if they have a workaround.

Posting in GD is just going to get you trolled.

If you had glitches in EvE and you dont see anyone else with the same glitches, most likely is your computer that sucks.

OP: GM response times (to petitions) are notoriously unpredictable. I hope you can be patient.

I recommend Textarea Cache for Firefox:

Welcome to the forum OP! Also welcome to your very first thread lock...Blink

Most bug reports you file you will never hear from again. But they are still very much appreciated and all are looked at and handled. Posting about it on the forum is not getting you a response from CCP.
Posting about a support ticket you filed however, in any way shape or form, is downright prohibited on the forum. Hence the thread lock.
As aid by others, response on support tickets can vary drastically, depending on the amount of tickets the GM's have to work through and the category your ticket fits in. Be patient!
