Just wondering what is going on in a system like Baratar when you see many more pod kills than ship kills? Since pods cannot shoot is there some kind of mass pod suicide going on there? Ore like some kind of line execution LOL. Last night I think there were like 50 ship kills and 150 something pod kills in the last 24. I have only seen it where ship kills always exceed pod kills, which makes sense.

The easy way to check is to go to zkillboard, you can use this in the ingame browser, and in the search box, enter the solar system name, it should come up and say Solar System next to the search result. Click that and you can look at recent activity.

Being in lowsec Khanid and next to Goudiyah, which I recall from a long time ago, and the system has a Navy Logistics Support (which means jump clones as well as medical) I would guess without looking at zkillboard that its a combination of cyno alts and maybe a gatecamp.

You can do something similar in evemaps at dotlan, bring up the system name, click the pink heart that says Kills in the mouseover and have a look.

looks like a cyno alt to me. when people move capital ships, they will often light a cyno beacon with their alt, then kill the alt with another alt, as soon as the capital ship is in system. that way you avoid exposing the beacon as a warp to target for too long. as cyno alts rarely have more than 900k SP, you might as well kill them to get them back to station. (yes, being a cyno alt would be a ****** job irl).

I should buy an Ishtar.

I forgot about the pink heart. Yea I knew there was probably a good reason.

Possibly these people lost their space pixel ships and fleed the battle only to get pipe bombed on the way home for another ship?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

If you look up killboard data, you might be able to piece the details together. But most likely I'd guess it is a smartbomb trap of some sort.

Look for where people that lost pods in the system lost their ships.

You are wrong. Kill board is broken. I lost two ships and a POD yesterday. Only POD is listed in kill board.

one consideration, the fleet commander with his 100 man gang decided they needed to get home quick to defend there space. So ordered everyone to dock and med clone back home to re-ship for defence. picking up the left ships at a later date.
