Attention Gankers & Lowsec Pirates/PVP'ers

Gankers of Highsec and Lowsec, apparently there has been a Stealth NPC Corp Buff.

Please check your standings with NPC Newbie corps, as this may have VERY negative consequences for mission running/standings down the line. Every character you gank in high sec and/or PVP against in lowsec takes a MASSIVE hit against the NPC corp itself now.

This isn't something I'd noticed until today when attempting to access a locator agent I've used previous, but cannot now. So if I've missed it, please feel free to filet my fish. If it's not... disturbing indeed.

This has been known for some time. I'm unsure whether the standings decrease percantage has been modified recently, but losing standings for killing NPC corp players has been in the game for years.

I've done Lowsec piracy for quite some time, even down to -10, shooting at FW people. If that was true, I'd be -10 to every NPC corp in FW, but I'm not, it only shows kills in the last few months.

-18% for a ship
-75% for a pod.

If you're a pirate and have good standings with npc corps you're probably doing something wrong.

Which is why if you are a suicide ganker, you maintain a character with good standings to use locator agents. And maybe post on forums.

Why would you care? The NPC corps are mediocre at best, and there are much better corps to run for and get locator agents.

That can be a bit tiresome, but largely irrelevant, unless you somehow decide to "repent" and run L4 for a starter corp. (unlikely).
You can get good locator agent coverage without relying on NPC corps open to players.
