Testing the New Eden Store

Maybe add a "confirm" button. It's really odd when a transaction is finished and you don't know what to do to make the window go away.

    Can we please close this full screen shop with ESC? Fishing for the tiny X in the top right corner is ... awkward.

    I just had a situation where I had the shop open in mid space and then docked in station and the close button was hidden behind the station service/guest list panel.

    The system by which we manage inventories in EVE. Cargo hold, Item Hangar, Ship Hangar, etc.

    Alright let's see:

    Only the first two buttons "Ship Skin" and "Apparel" in the top bar and the search function work , you can't scroll the list when your mouse is outside of the list, models for everything but the ship skins don't load, the store is only accessible from the log in screen (?), if you click on the ships skins, it doesn't open a ship viewer, it's just a picture, bad picture of the Rifter Krusual Edition looks bad and it's thematically as un-Eve-like as design gets.

    Are there any backgrounds planned?

    Why not just put it outside of the game as the website it pretty much seems to be?

    In summary: It runs I guess?

    Paid for 1x Stabber Krusual Edition which was on sale,
    Paid for 1x Thorax Aliastra Edition.

    When the BPC of the second ship appeared in the Redeem Items it showed the icon and name of another Stabber. Closing and opening the store reset the BPC to become a Thorax.

    *Edit. Bug recreated buying the Sale "Men's 'Form' Shirt (black)" and then the Hot "Men's 'Commando' Pants (black)"
    UI says I have 2x t-shirt to redeem, closing the store and opening resets to the correct items, if attempting to redeem items the correct ones are listed.

    - The "Redeem Items" menu in the inventory window is not functional for me. Dragging and dropping doesn't do anything (the icon also isn't "picked up" on mouse down, either.)
    - The "Redeem items" button in the inventory window still appears while in space. It is not possible to redeem items in space (even through the ESC menu), because you need to be docked to redeem.
    - The store doesn't show any picture for the clothing items - I'm guessing those are supposed to be previewed on my character model?

    Big smile I know. But it's not possible to redeem items through the inventory system. I will try to be more clear next time Big smile
    One way is drag&drop in Character selection. The other is ESC->Redeem items. In both cases the items will appear in the inventory system, but it's not possible to redeem items through the inventory system.

    EDIT: Oh I found out what you mean. I don't use the inventory thing at all. I use the "open ship hangar" and "open hangar floor" as shortcuts im my neocom. The inventory window is IMHO really messy and useless.

    Okay I'm gonna say this again knowing CCP won't listen.

    Amount of money I've spent on frivolous real money item store in Eve: zero.

    Amount of real money I've spent on clothes in Secret World: too ashamed to admit.

    Why? Two reasons.

    One, stuff is cheap there so I'm more willing to buy it. And I do. And it isn't destroyable. I'm not spending real money on ship skins that can be destroyed. It's just not happening.

    Two, I don't have to go through some complicated process to purchase something. On Secret World, the item store is linked with my credit card. Buying Funcom points is an in-game feature. Maybe this new NEX has finally done that but I haven't seen any shots yet so I can't say.

    Yeah. The scroll bar is almost invisible if not active Sad. And it overlaps with the icons. Looks really ugly.

    The problem is if people saw the RL value of these items they would be put off, adding a currency you buy to then purchase items adds a mental disconnect for many on just how much money they're spending. This has been why many companies have gone down this route, not sure what CCP's feelings on it are but it's an insult to most wise gamers.

    You have to scroll in the actual store area (middle of screen). It looks like scroll is currently set to fixed sized window towards the middle and attempting to scroll using the edges of the screen does not work.

    It could do with an option to buy multiples of items at once, unless that's there and I am missing it... in which case that needs to be more obvious. :P

    Well you can buy AUR directly, the problem is that for a long time (and maybe still) you get more AUR to the $ for buying a PLEX.
