Hard to look at, but it shows the power of photography. In some ways those photographers changed the world by publishing what they did. Whilst it's shocking to see, balance that out by the response of the public globally on viewing the images. Some of the Vietnam images are cited as changing the course of the war. Things like that shouldn't happen, but they do. You might see images like that as symbolic of the worst aspects of humanity, but how people responded (at the time, and in the present) should serve as a reminder there's an opposing position.

There was a picture of somebody that got caught in the blast radius in Hiroshima, or rather his shadow that was burnt into the ground. That's all there was left of this person. I'll have to dig it out.
