Public CREST market data - what am I doing wrong?

I've just started to look at the CREST market data for the first time and am slightly puzzled. As an example, I thought I'd look at the price of trit in Khanid region. I'm using the URL...

http://public-crest.eveonline.com/market/10000049/types/34/history/

and the last bit of the data returned looks like this...

{"volume_str": "204452641", "orderCount": 120, "lowPrice": 5.0, "highPrice": 5.01, "avgPrice": 5.0, "volume": 204452641, "orderCount_str": "120", "date": "2014-05-09T00:00:00"}

However, when I open up Eve and look at the market history table, the figures given for the same day are quite different...

Orders: 146
Quantity: 386,742,955
Low: 4.65
High: 4.82
Avg: 4.71

Am I missing something really obvious here or is there a problem with CREST?

As it turns out, I'm an idiot who can't read a table. I was looking at last year's entry in the client!

I'm crawling back under my rock now.

What's the best way to interpret market Json data?

Is it difficult to import Json data into excel?

It's not the easiest of data to load into excel, unfortunately.

Thanks steve, I will go ahead and play around with that.

For the time being... Is crest data only on regions or can you pull station specific as well?

It's very hard for me to find documentation on crest other than the sticky and evelopedia.

Just like in Eve, it's region data only.
