The end of PLEX?

Should this thread continue to decline in terms of reality, a tinfoil hat will automatically be dispensed from the overhead compartment. Place it firmly over your head covering any exposed areas.

If you are travelling with a child or someone who requires assistance, secure your hat first, and then assist the other person. Keep your hat on until a Dev or ISD member advises you to remove it.

Are they removing time codes? This thread sounds legit.

I think cutting out the middleman is a good idea fwiw.

If they're thinking of raising subscription prices, otoh, that's crazy.

It was also briefly mentioned in the CSM minutes. Aurum makes more sense as a microtransaction currency than PLEX and the two have no reason to exist side by side.

Plex for expansions? I fail to see how that would even be possible giving how recent expansions have changed core game mechanics. Eve would have to stop being a single sandbox in order to implement that.

As for ending PLEXes, remember that every plex on the market was put there by a player who paid cash for it, sometimes at a price higher than the standard monthly subscription fee. Ending PLEXes would just cost CCP money overall, something I'm sure the devs don't want, and further encourage isk-sellers.

That said, please put on your straight jackets and simply await official announcement on what that one extremly vague paragraph truly means.
