I know you said you are industrial type, but that doesnt mean industry is the best place to invest 740mil isks.
I think the best place to invest your 740mil isks would be get a navy megathron, fit it for incursions, and go spam for a month non stop.

THEN you can do what you like, industry or whatever.

Hmm... with a little more, and some training in covert ops frigs, you can run out into ORE space and pick up expensive BPOs that you then bring back to high sec for even more isk. Market speculation is another option. If you're serious about industry, you could get a small industrial POS started once the summer expansion gets here. They're going to be pretty useful to industrialists post patch, much more so than now.

Or, you can just take the covert, and sit someplace cloaked in system to drive the nullards crazy.

Skill Books --- > good.

Low level implants ---> good.

High level implants --> bad, just make you nervous

BPO --> good providing you work out what is actually useful
( hint, compare manufacturing cost here http://www.eve-cost.eu/calculator with sell price here https://eve-central.com/home/market.html and do not build stuff given away free in a school system)

Station trading ---> very good

Ships you cannot yet or can barely fly --> bad if you are buying them to fly

Ships you cannot fly that are about to be buffed as an investment to sell later --> good

stuff to get into PI --> good

ship skins ---> bad

the list can go on forever ... as you are the industrial type you should be reading the marketing and industry forums and may even be advised to post a similar thread there.

Send me your isk and I'll halve it for you. It's awesome to be a young toon in this game. I remember when my wallet crossed the billion is mark for the first time. I remember when it crossed the 100b mark as well and I almost bought a legacy toon from the bazaar. A buddy of mine talked me out of it by explaining how it would screw up the learning curve, and break the game for me. He was right and I'm glad I listened.

Anywho....Skill books, cheap ships, etc. By the time you're actually ready for that orca, you'll know that you need it and it's price won't be any significant amount of isk to you anymore.

They say most of your brain shuts down on the EvE forums. All but the impatient side, and the sarcastic side. No wonder I'm still awake.

Come on, let's get him to do something original.

Doing what lots of other people do is boring (except for the inevitable 20 seconds or so in Uedama (?sp))

Yeah ... go for it!

Why, in hell, would you want to mine when you have ISK anyway?

Seriously, what is wrong with people nowadays?!

I need tea................

Investment.
I have enough isk to hire the most expensive of mercs for over 50 weeks of wardec. Money is power, even in EVE.
It's also why I PVP in navy/pirate ships with faction mods routinely while other players struggle to replace a Thorax Big smile.

A little bit of inconvenience while I do house chores for all that... must you ask why?

It's not just me of course, some of the top members in alliances like Goonswarm run large multibox mining fleets on a semi-regular basis.

buy a crap ton of cheap ships and go into Faction warfare. then never be poor again.

or if youre really into industry, station trading is a super easy way to make something out of nothing. just watch out for risky buys since you can easily lose the isk as fast as you gain it

Buy a complete outfit. Unlike an Orca, it cant be ganked and looted.

Otherwise, market investments, BPO's and/or skill books.

Station trading and speculative hauling could work in your favour. The old maxim, "buy low, sell high" applies here. Buy stuff on low-ball buy orders, sell it on high-ball sell orders. If necessary, haul it between stations to get the best deal.

Your name reminds me of an EvE Player of old, OP.

He was once scammed into destroying his sec. status.

I think the honorable thing would be to buy a battleship...

Fit smartbombs and make a deep safe in Jita...

Then invite people to join a fleet and sacrifice pods to your disco glory.

And never look back.

Big smile

Alternatively, if you choose an Orca, remember the cardinal rule...

Permit tank=Best Tank.

10m per year for use of your illegal mining equipment.

Listen to me, miner to miner.
If you think it is worth it to buy an Orca, then do it. Make sure to buy it from a non trade hub station. That way, there is less of a chance of getting blown up 10 seconds out of dock.
Spend the money on what you want and don't do PVP unless you want to.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Seriously man, dont waste it. dont fly something you cant replace, an orca is a bad investment, go after skill books, get some t1 frigs, grab some bpos etc. dont blow it on stupid crap, for the love of the amarrian gods DONT DOUBLE YOUR ISK, learn the game, get out there and experience eve, in all of its harshness (seriously dont double your isk its a scam no matter what they tell you) and all of its glory. If you would like assistance contact me via eve mail or meet me in Esa (search esa its the only station in system and its a high sec system) i may have a few BPOs i could give you to get you started in industry. best of luck, if youre willing to do buisness send me an eve mail
