About the drones changes

So combat drones will be light drones
And scout drones will be medium drones

Question is are they gonna stay the same rank?

I'm pretty sure scout drone operation is going to be rank 1 and combat drone operation rank 2.

This is my understanding.

There will be three skills.

1. Drone Avionics (Rank 1) which will be set to whatever level your Scout Drone Operation was. It increases your control range but does not enable access to any drones.

If you have not trained Scout Drone Operation at all you will not get Drone Avionics.

2. Light Drone Operation (Rank 1) which will be set to the highest of your previous levels in either Scout Drone Operation or Combat Drone Operation. Needed for light drones. Presumably increases damage of light drones per level.

2. Medium Drone Operation (Rank 2) which will be set to the highest of your previous levels in either Scout Drone Operation or Combat Drone Operation. Needed for medium drones. Presumably increases damage of medium drones per level.


Summary:

Scout Drone operation to V is sufficient to get level V in all three skills.

Pretty much.

Avionics gets the control increase of SDO but nothing else.

Light Drone Operation inherits the light drone access from SDO and the DPS gain to light drones from CDO.

Medium Drone Operation inherits the medium drone access from SDO and the DPS gain to medium drones from CDO.
