Module has run out of charges

I have two blasters fitted 100,000 rounds of ammo in the cargo hold, a stable cap and both icons show 10000 charges so why do i keep getting the "a module has run out of charges notice." I have clicked on the blaster and no option is there to reload it

because a blaster can only hold something like 80-120 charges at one time (give or take).

So, you get 100 shots, then need to re-load the blaster.

Also, you might have the wrong ammo in your cargohold -- what's in there, and what do you have fitted to the ship?

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

By clicked the icon I presume you mean right clicked?

If not, right click is your friend, for everything.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

oops!....figured it out one module was a light blaster and one was a civilian light blaster....it is all so clear now......indeed! right click is a very useful option

Realistically you have two options here;

1) Fly Amarr and never have your guns run out of ammo again because lazer crystals last nearly forever
2) Fly Minmatar and never have your guns run out of ammo again because you die well before going through a full magazine

Your main mistake was flying Gallente to be honest.

Lies. Gallente are awesome, they just happen to be the flavor of the month - so all the hipsters hate them. 'Course I liked 'em before it was cool.

Not lies--a joke. The joke is that you have to be Gallante or Caldari to run out ammo and reload. Minmatar always dying before they run out of ammo is the clue.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

WTF you carry tens of thousands of ammo with you? You know that if you lose your ship to other player he will take everything from your wreck so you will lose everything you have in it, right?

My rule of thumb for PVP has generally been to keep one or two spare reloads' worth of ammo in the cargo hold. For PVE, which is much more of a marathon than a sprint, you'll want more ammunition. One hundred thousand rounds may be excessive, however; that sounds more like the stockpile you'd have at your home base.

Even 10k of ammo is too much. Carry enough for few reloads, I doubt you are in area completely without stations to dock and resupply so why risk it when as a newbie you probably don't have huge fat wallet. And even if you have big wallet why giving somebody more isk on killmail?

Work out what's a balanced load to carry for the guns you use and leave the rest on a nearby station. After doing a few missions refill the cargo supply from the station and keep going. If you lose the ship you are not then going to lose all your ammo.

I carry ridiculous amounts of ammo most of the time, except the rare times I fly a battleship-sized hull (where the ammo takes up a lot of cargo space).
