Do you guys even listen to yourselves, you too dusties. Over the past 8 years of being a subscriber to CCP this is what i have seen!

Hey we are going to make WoD a in depth vampire game

community - RAAAAAGE you are taking my subscription monies away from my game to make an emo vampire twilight game you suck!

Hey guys we are going to put fighting on planets and make it affect the game!

Community - RAAAAAAGE you are taking my subscription monies away from my game to make a FPS on console and only make it exclusive to PS3. I don't want to buy a PS3, this should be on a PC. More RAAGE!

Hey guys we have a great team working on walking in stations!

Community - RAAAAAAGE you are taking my subscription monies away from my game to make a part of the game i wont use! Only stupid role players would use this. Why cant you spend your time fixing the game instead of working on pretty paper dolls no one will ever use.

Hey guys we are going to put a version of DUST on PC so all the FPSers can enjoy it!

Community - RAAAAAAGE!!!!! WHY are you shutting down PS3 version, just like that you are abandoning anther project cause you suck.

Sorry guys we are closing WOD so we can work on EvE online more :(

Final thoughts. STFU - you all rage about everything when in actuality you dont even know what you want. CCP moved all its resources back to focusing on EvE 100% and you all rage about that?!?!?

Im pretty sure most CCP Devs and producers look like this

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

You're listening to a vocal minority on the forums, not the actual playerbase.
Except in the case of DUST.... those guys really are raging out over a bunch of misconceptions and outright untrue rumors.

I'm really tired of hearing the "I don't have/can't afford a PC" excuse. I'll bet everyone that says that is lying through their teeth.

The only think i really rage about and still rage about is my lack of Amarr station chanting and the gallente pleasure hub station environment. I miss those :(

The sad truth is for a lot of these people they're just not smart enough to use a PC, and use the cost as an excuse.

The chanting was creepy as hell. I'm glad it's gone.
The Pleasure Hub does need to come back, though.

I believe the term is "Direct Hit".

Although you forgot "Guys, we are putting Incarna on indefinite hold so that we can focus on core EVE game play".

Hmmm, perhaps eventually Legion will be the ultimate payoff for that particular payment of dues.

Might be some rage on the Dust forums, but since Dust has no impact on Eve, few care. This is one of the main reasons Dust fizzled. Compared to the scope of Eve, Dust is trivial.

Hopefully, and so far early hints are, the same mistake will not be made with Legion. In the long run, the Dust adventure and its 'fail' may be the best possible scenario for Eve. Now CCP can migrate all that knowledge about what works and does not work to the sandbox, make it have meaning, and not screw up their core product, Eve.

The issue with the first three topics was that those were being developed simultaneously which caused CCPs workforce to be spread thin among other projects outside of Eve. This caused Eve to suffer from a development standpoint. All three where decent ideas, and if done in a different manner wouldn't have caused much rage.

Dust being potentially pulled from PS3 hasn't caused much rage here, actually most are happy. The Dust forums are a different story.

WoD being scrapped goes into my first comment. Good concept failed to delivered. Shame but not much whining.

I don't think CCP took developers away from EVE to work on those other things. They hired new teams of developers to work on those other projects. When I think about all the changes in EVE over the 5 years I've been playing, it is staggering.

New Player Experience is way improved (tutorials, learning skills, L3 to learn higher ship instead of 4, mining frigate, and much more)
Probing
Dynamic NeoCom
Info Panels
Exploration
Incursions
MASSIVE reduction in lag, and TiDi for when it still can't be avoided
Upgrade your Null sec so that max profitability comes from getting more people in, not keeping them out.
Tiericide (awesome, though I think it could use some more polish)
Trying to move away from "right-click"
Faction Warfare to make fights meaningful.
Planetary Interaction


They didn't take money from EVE, they borrowed money with plans the new games would more than pay it back. Now is where the fecal matter hits the fan, and there is no revenue to pay back the debt.
