Bumping Collision Noise

I do not remember hearing any noise when I have been bumped. Many ganker attacks begin with this action, keeping you from aligning for warp or away from a warp gate. Inside a ship, you would definitely receive an audible indicator you have been collided with. Also, not that I would appreciate it much, but such collisions should result in damage for both ships. Perhaps ships are some how able to avoid absolute contact with shields, but results in larger mass pushing away a smaller mass. But it would not be beyond imagination that some sort of near collision alarm would be activated in the event. ((I might not notice visibly that I have been bumped, an audible alert would be nice, so maybe I can react to a gank attempt in a more timely manner.))

I am often looking at the star map, or responding to a mail, or IM, or conducting some corp business, while trying to mine. Or, dog alerts onto a property intruder, neighbor knocks at the door, a phone call, someone in the house needing your attention for a moment. Unplugging the head phones will activate my speakers and I will be able to maintain some game presence with the audible alerts. If you frequent trade hubs like Jita, and the collision noise would be overwhelming, it could be a alarm feature you could turn on and off in settings or the ship hud. Even in real ships, people do other things, eat, go to the restroom, there are people on watch, but they activate alarms to notify those in charge of the situation. Is this an unrealistic thing to ask for from the game?

why not dock up or log off when ur interrupted? its just a game.

Much the same was said when sounds were removed from warpgates. Can't the gate campers just pay attention?

Once again, we fly semi-sentient puddles of nanite shaped like spaceships. I would think the computer running that mess would be able to say "sir, collision warning, be advised, recommend evasive manuvers" or some such, even if you could not hear the loud bang of the hulls coming together.
