Player Features and Ideas Discussion

With the new Moa and Condor hulls being introduced at Fanfest, there has been some discussion about ship redesigns that showed me that there is a demand for the old hulls, i.e. the hulls as they were before the change, most noticeably with the Scorpion.

With that, a thought crept into my head: Legacy Edition spaceships. It's basically the same T1 ship as before, except it has the old design that was retired some time ago, and not the new one. It would work in a similar way as the corporate-skinned ships that are sold through the NEX store, except for the look.

Pros:

# A bigger incentive to make purchases at the NEX store.

# More of the history of EVE gets preserved in-game.

# Bling for the bling god.

Cons:

# It would really only cater to a small part of the playerbase, mostly the older vets who fondly remember flying around in bizarre-looking spaceships.

# The old models would have to be somewhat updated in order to incorporate various new graphical features that have since been introduced, meaning more work for the art department and others.
