For those of you who have never heard of ARTEMIS, shame on you!

The basic principle of that game is that several players cooperate to control one spaceship. Every player is an officer on the bridge of a spaceship, each controlling a different set of systems e.g. Weapons, Engineering, Life Support, Navigation, etc...

With all the expansions into spin-off games like Valkyrie and Dust, would CCP ever consider an ARTEMIS style game set in the Eve Universe? It would fit very well, players could take the role of officers on NPC ships doing... whatever NPCs do while there are no players around lol.

I remember this being proposed many years ago.

I cant see how it would be enjoyable.

All it would take is one AWOXer to decide not to fire the weapons, or the pilot to just stop the ship and you have a whole load of dead characters.

Also, what if one player disconnects during a battle?

Plus, I believe that the Eve code gets all spazzy when it tries to think about having two players on one ship.
