standing change when fleet member pops a faction ship?

Hi,

If i join a friend in a mission and we are in the same fleet, do i get negative standing when he is popping a certain factions ships? Even if i am just a passive tank booster for example?

Only the person who inflicts damage against a faction ship losses standing with that faction. Mission turn ins do not affect this. Storyline missions have adverse effects to standings though.
