Hound Faction Warfare?!

Hey so Im fairly new in Faction Warfare and am looking for ways to earn a living in that activity.

A buddy of mine says you can earn a lot in lvl 4 missions tied to FW with bombers. Key here seems to be range so naturaly t2 launchers with javelin torpedos.

the general tendency i got over the chat rooms in game is that the Manticore is the best ship for that job because of cpu und slot layout reasons.

Im not really very familiar with all the diffrences but could I do the same with a Hound Bomber at least until I have the skills for the Manticore and if yes which faction would be the most effective for the Hound. my buddy said the Manticore is pretty good for the State Protectorate (Caldari FW) but the chat says the Hound is not ideal for the Tribal Liberation Force (Minmatar FW).

Please dont smack me if i got anything wrong here Ill be very thankful for any insights and help that you veterans can give me.
