Question as stated. Other MMO's have websites that monster X has a chance to drop *item x,y,z* @ % drop rate. ETC.
My friend Google cant seem to direct me to a website like that.
thanks!

It could be because there is not predictable mechanic like this. I've had some weirdly expensive stuff drop from seemingly random rats in belts before, and then nothing but crap drop from what you would think should drop something neat.

I could be wrong though... but i'm fairly certain you can't predict the drop of a specific item from a specific rat/ship.

I'm pretty sure Eve NPCs have drop table mechanics like in any other MMORPG and that therefore you could actually have a public DB of it and predict a drop from a certain rat in terms of probability.

I think the reasons why no-one has bothered to make a drop table DB (at least I don't know of one) is that 1. the drop tables are rather intuitive (e.g. Sanshas will drop lasers and armor mods, Guristas will drop missiles and shield mods, the bigger the ship the larger the dropped modules) and 2. the drop table of each NPC is just so damn huge with each rat being able to drop dozens of module groups and each of them comes in several meta levels.

Also, in Eve there aren't really special modules as such that would be worth going specifically after, if you find one expensive module you can use the market to exchange it to any other expensive module you want really easy. The only exception to this might be really rare officer/deadspace/storyline mods, but it is well known how and where to get these (if you're lucky enough) without the need of a drop table DB.
