Why isn't there a proper system to invite people to join our corp?

This game is probably the worst I've experienced when trying to get people together and build a corporation.

There's literally no system in place to easily invite people to join your corp, or even to search for people that have no corp, or search for people that are looking for a corp, etc etc..

So many systems that could be implemented to make the recruitment process easier, yet this game has none.

No wonder there's so many 1 man corporations and people just go about on their own.

Because if people think Jita local is bad, wait until people can spam corp invites at each other.

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.

You call that a recruitment system?

You mean you do not have a recruitment system?

Also, every candidate can just send an extensive aplication.

Usually if People come to you by a public forum post or some corp search tool it´s a good indication you don´t want to have them in corp anyway.

What were the others and what systems that they used would you suggest CCP employ to improve this?

Perhaps you should employ a headhunter, or have a bigger promotion regarding that your corporation is recruiting.

Are you just trying to recruit people who don't give a crap about the corp or do you actually want to build a tight-knit community?

Because no tools will help you with the latter.

Implying one-man corporations exist solely because of a bad recruitment system and not because everyone can start one for essentially free.

I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

I guess the op has never seen the in-game corp-finding tool complete with Ads and selectable by type of corp you are looking for. Hmmm.

1. A player search feature showing you all players without a corp (npc corp)

2. The ability to set yourself looking for corp, so that you corps can search for you and send you invitations.

3. A proper invitation system with a set invitation message, right click invite to corp player X. Player X receives new invitation.

And so many others..
All implemented within the game, with filters and spam protection (can only invite X Player 1 time, can only invite npc corps players.

Invitations are sent as a notification (can easily be ignored)

Etc.. just a few examples.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm willing to hazard a guess that the phrase "/2 spam" would feature highly on his list.

Hmm, because everyone would really like the endless 'Join my Corp' spam that comes with those searches!

1) There would be thousands and thousands of players listed
2) This is might be useful.
3) That would discourage player-to-player interaction/talking....probably the most important part of recruiting. If you're recruiting any joe blow that wants to be in a corp, you're doing it wrong.

1) This would take FOREVER to update and would be quite a server drag. I dont imagine the kind of CEOs you have in mind want to trawl through untold thousands of bio-less alts to find the few nuggets they are looking for.

2) You can do that without a mechanism already. There's the thread, adverts and of course simply interacting with members of the corp you like the sound of. Its called research.

3) This already exists.

Also, can you answer my question of what the other games with better systems you tried were?

1 man corps have nothing to do with that, if you are asking about why they do not have a system such as those in other MMORPGs, well, that's a dev fail all around, from creating anti-social game model to almost paranoid background checks, again due to dev fail when it comes to providing environments and echo systems, etc.

There is simply too much at stake here if you invite the wrong person.
