Did someone else see these new mining platforms on the character selection screen? Looks like a Orca with strip miners. Or maybe it's a mobile mining platform (I hope not).

The majority of the file content in this patch is behind-the-scenes work (therefore not mentioned in the patch notes since it's not visible yet) to support later development.

We decided to spread some of our content updates across this release to reduce the overall size of the Summer expansion.

For example we have included some of our partial work to the factional stations in this release although it is not yet visible.

I secretly hope one of these big surprise patches will "fix things" so I start getting those "Inside scoops of forth coming attractions & directions / communicae / special deals / bonuses " offers that came advertised with the Collectors Edition.

CCP, have you thought about flashing an icon (similar to the subscription days remaining on the character selection screen) for upcoming patches?
Include estimated size and flash it 24-48hrs before you're expecting to roll it out.

It's setting expectations and a matter of courtesy. If it's a big patch, players would have the chance to re-schedule their activities or take certain mitigating actions.
Patch notes in such cases can be delayed till last minute if you're worrried about certain info leaking or last minute changes. Just put TBA.
