tank is a counter to damage, and damage is a counter to tank. why do we need something that completely nullifies damage? unless u intend to propose a sub-cap doomsday that insta-pops u regardless of the targets tank. maybe it'll take say...two seconds to activate. and has a loooooooooooong cool down time.

I was simply pointing out your bias, just like I am biased for introducing and defending this new tanking mechanism. No personal attack was intended. Identifying each person's bias is an effective way of taking a more objective approach to arguing.

I personally believe that we need something to completely nullify damage (for a brief period with long cooldowns) because a single player simply cannot do anything against 100 players, or a group of suicide gankers designed to kill you in one shot, without completely breaking the way we tank now. The stasis is designed to tank in an entirely different way with the aim to disrupt such tactics. Of course, the player using the stasis must be on his/her toes.

is false.

There are many things you can do against this situation, most notable is using a scout and simply being aware of whats happening on the map.

So does this mean that you should also be invulnerable to a Doomsday from a Titan? I mean, it's being piloted by 1 guy rather than the 100 pilots that you previously suggested was the problem, so that particular statement in your OP is completely ridiculous.

As previously stated, biomass. Your freighter is not a special snowflake.

Using a weapon as a deterrent in a diplomatic situation is only viable when you have proven that you have deployed it in the past and are willing to use it in the future.

Counterproposal every ship can shut down itself, by doing so the Ship lost all electronic functionality which Stops the Ship (0ms) but breaks all locks and the time it needs for enemys to "relock" will heavly increase.
After 300+ seconds you can boot your ship up.

If you shoot an "offline" ship no concord will come. <- you can avoid one suicidganker but then your toast
