I've searched for quite some time, but only really getting info on NPCs that scramble and their strength so I'm asking here...

I'm beginning to delve into solo daytripping in wormholes and wanted to take the least amount of modules in with me. I'm very drone centric and fit as such, additionally taking threat assessment of Sleepers into consideration I fit a TP (also good for aggro since I carry no guns), but I am wondering if I also fit a scrambler if it would help hit the frigs (since it shuts off player MWDs). I've done just a bit of testing, nothing conclusive, but each time I activate a scrambler on a Sleeper frigate their angular goes down (but then they switch to my drones, every time so far) so I'm not sure if it's doing anything, plus it seems odd that of the dozen or so times I've done it they switch to my drones (not complaining here, have only lost a single drone so far), I thought they stay on you more the more EW you apply to them. While it has been nice the few times I've been caught off guard by PvP Stratios(es?) I'd hate to think it's doing nothing for my PvE.

My guess is their angular velocity is dropping only because once they get within scrambler range, they slow down anyway, or maybe some other thing you aren't noticing.

I'm not sure which EWAR modules work on NPCs (aside from webifiers and target painters), but I do know that the majority of them have no discernible effect. I wouldn't be surprised if NPCs can warp off when you have them scrammed, but it's rather difficult to test for that.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

Well. I'm far too lazy to read that.
Do you know if they're burning at you or with an MWD while orbiting you? If you do, scram them and find out.

I haven't done any conclusive testing myself, but I remember a bug where npcs in belts warped away and people tried scrambling them to keep them there but it didn't work. This would suggest that npcs are immune to scrams which frankly isn't very surprising since most ewar doesn't work on npcs the way they do on players. As for your testing, frig npcs turn off their mwds when they are in orbit which is around the time they enter scram range so it's difficult to test with a regular scram, you'd need something like an Arazu with long scram to test if they turn off npc mwds.

Yeah that's what I was starting to think too, figured I would open the velocity column on the overview to have figured it out myself. My other option was that their angular velocity was changing because they were shifting to my drones.
