If this was about any other game, I would agree with you.

But in EVE, little random inconsistencies like this create content.

No to gate guns, CONCORD, faction police, navy?

Not trolling just putting that out there :)

None of these mechanics are similar, though. They don't penalize players in an attempt to force them into completing an objective.

No I understand, thats cool, I was just going on the raw basics of the PVE not interfering with PVP comment.

But I get your meaning.

I'm not even really sure I'd consider those PVE. Those things don't provide you with PVE objectives. They're really more like obstacles and terrain. PVE would be things like rats, missions, incursions, etc. Something you get some benefit from killing.

Sorry about the loss but that's part of going through low-sec. To avoid this you can

- check the map once/twice a day to see where incursions are
- fit warp core stabs if you're just travelling
- MWD/cloak trick

I've made it past several incursion gates in low-sec flying a hauler. MWD/cloak is tough to beat.

I like incursions dangerous..... not less dangerous.

  - remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not  "afk" cloaking -

''A Sansha incursion is occurring in this sector millions are dying or being enslaved, Concord are overwhelmed, well not really, they'll still find time in their busy scheduled to slaughter you for target painting a Retriever or repping a Sansha Rat.''. Non-sense CCP automated announcement when entering a high sec incursion.

CCP feels differently.

Entitlement complex much?
"My way of playing is superior to yours, so I get to trample on you, but your way of playing can't ever affect me".

EVE is a world. Some parts of it are even slightly alive. Deal with it.
The reason High sec remains as is with regards to concord is because otherwise incursions would be used to replicate MOO's behaviour back when concord was tankable.

What they should do is extend that to highsec, not remove it from other parts of space.

I never really understood the spawning of rats on gates at all in low sec, i mean gate guns why you no work?

TL;DR:

Didn't travel fit. Lost a ship... to rats. Shame merits nerfing something.

What would be nice would be if gate guns engaged, but the sansha could tank them. So that they are much easier to kill as their reps are used up on the gate guns, so any damage will build up over time. That creates the image of gate guns being effective, while not eliminating the sansha unless players do so themselves.

There are differences between incursion in the various sectors of space.

You found one of the big ones. The other being the payout multipliers.

No, I think things are working as intended.

And the other big one being that hisec incursion running is essentially risk-free

Critically, this allows you to activate a Micro Jump Drive. This is rather an important distinction.
