I'm just curious if Eve has an end in sight. I realize that a game like this, well there really is no end. But, is CCP creating a new and improved game, so expansions will stop coming out, that sorta thing. I just dont want to continue playing if the game will die in a year or so, considering it takes that long to make a name for yourself

No. It doesn't make any sense anyway in an MMO. The game you see today has the basic concept of the game when it started a decade ago, but pretty much everything else has changed during that time and continues to do so.

The End Is Near?

Doesn't matter to me when CCP shuts down their servers. Even if it's next week or 20 years from now, I will continue to play this game until I can no longer play due to failing health / old age. And when that happens, I'll just give my character to a younger family member with instruction for them to do the same.

Eve Is Real.

It will be obvious when the game is about to end. It won't be up for speculation. The town criers will be gone long before then, the people shouting 'eve is dying' won't be shouting it anymore because they won't be playing. The few people still playing in the twilight of Tranquility will be quietly waiting out the end. An announcement will be made, then one day at downtime the servers won't come back up.

Before then it'll be obvious.

It doesn't take a year ... it takes how long it takes you.

One of these days, Mittens will get one beer too drunk while on an alliance panel, and disclose a key NDA'd point. He is, in fact, Falcon.
You can see where this is going. All of the CSM members will come forward and openly admit that, although they are indeed individual people, CCP Mittens has been supplying ideas and giving directions as to what to "discuss", and slowly changing the game to favor Goons and nullbears. It will come to the point that, once you log in and choose your character, you will be given two options:
Join Goons
Not Join Goons (This will biomass your character, and contract all of your items to the next available Goon Accountant).

And since we are all addicted to this game, we will all join Goons, and we will live boringly ever after, ganking blues and looking for a diplo to call. The few who biomass will come back after a month or two of withdrawal and join goons anyway, as our cute newbros.

Hisec will remain pretty much as is, except that Concord will now have an option to be bribed. For every 10,000 isk, you can delay their reaction time by 30 seconds. The empires will dissolve and join the blue donut, so I guess they will be the cream filling. And once it's all blue and corrupted, then CCP will shut the server down because the Goons just won Eve.
