Agree with everything else you said though, especially the monkeys bit. Although I think you should just take your annoyance out on highsec miners, Teg, random people in local etc like the rest of us.

I have enjoyed eve online for many years. But alas, with it growing increasingly boring, and null sec going to the dogs and null sec becoming nothing but a wasteland of trash, idiots, morons with alts, and more and no more real pvp, its no wonder people whine about the fact that Providence is the heart of pvp and they all suck at it except those living in providence. I was always a deep null sec inhabitant with my alts. From what i have seen, null sec has gone to the dogs. I would not wipe my boot off on the null sec owned by other alliances now days. They have no will power, no ambition, no balls to actually want to have pvp in their regions. HTye are dry, a waste of time, and a waste of pvp effort and isk. Its is a no wonder after camping providence for the past 2 months seeing that providence seems to be the only people crazy enough to have the balls to gun at anyone that challenge their pvp arena.

After playing for so many years, i con only hope that one day after someone decides to grow pair of cast iron b*lls that maybe the 1001 mini alliances will pull their heads from their collective a**es and actually grow a pair of brains to notice they can if every damn corp or alliance actually suck it up, stop trying to be the boss of every damn corp alliance, and actually stand together and try to beat down the larger powerblocs like they deserve. Oh wait that won't happen, i forgot, the majority (60%) of the eve online accounts are actually owned by the one and the same persons, depending on what group. CCP's naive attemps at trying ot bring more people to REAL people to the fold has only brought 10 times the amount of alts/alt accounts, and in the end making the entire game a complete RL and real time waste of time to play anymore. I have no problem with constructive criticism. Any one disagreeing with the majority of this is clearly an alt account, or clearly the account holder of an account/character in one of the 2 largest power blocs in eve online.

The problem isn't one alliance or another. Of it hadn't been goons and NC. it would have been others. The problem is simply that the game mechanics weren't designed with these huge groups on mind. And that's only because nobody ever dreamt of such a thing in a video game. Obviously CCP can look at the situation and see it's undesirable for the future of EvE, but since it's not able to be quickly and easily fixed they will not comment on it until a solution has been decided on. Part of that solution appears to be the upcoming manufacturing changes, thus trying to put a little pressure on owning and maintaining stations. Other than that, I'm sure they have a hundred ideas, but they must ensure that continuity is maintained and that their solutions don't cause worse problems. Nobody appears to actually like the idea of null sec being owned by one or two giant groups, but as things are it is the only real option. When new options present themselves, as they undoubtedly will, we'll get to see how things change. Until then, I'm going to continue enjoying EvE.

I'm going to buck the trend and say I actually agree with the OP in a sense...Shocked

Null SOV needs a redo IMHO, to encourage more small/mid level fights, and encourage smaller alliances to take and try and hold SOV. The current model of ridiculous force projection, blue-donut, pets and everyone pouring into a single system every six months is not compelling gameplay. IMHO.

It is the end of the term, and I have tens of pages yet to write, but I am feeling a bit pedantic.

I am also procrastinating and not writing said papers at the moment. There is only so much Hegel one can take in a day...

To the OP...

You should, perhaps, refine your writing style. Obviously you are impassioned about something, but it drowns in a swirl of verbal discordance; hence, it is labeled a rant. I suggest you follow a more traditional, and abbreviated, format with a more structured approach.

1: Thesis
Your proposal, your argument, what it is you wish to discuss.
It is optional to have an introduction. It serves no scholarly purpose other than to set the mood or tone of a paper. Generally I prefer to move straight into the thesis as I am not yet an established scholar, and the only audience I am addressing is my TA or professor. Your call...

2: Body
In literature, this is usually the close reading of the text. In any case, it is where you bring evidence to support your thesis.
Given that this is a game, you would need to focus on specific game play mechanics or behaviors which support your thesis.

3: Refutation
If a thesis were water tight, there would be no reason to make an argument; hence no real reason to write a paper. Here you consider opinions counter to your thesis. After elaborating the alternate position, you would then reaffirm why your stance is the preferred one.

4: Conclusion
Here you reiterate your thesis. Not only that, but it is here you deliver the thrust of your argument, that quotable which will stick in the minds of readers, and inform future scholars for years to come.

I wish you luck in your endeavours, and I hope that you consider my critique. A better writing style would make you more comprehensible, and engage other readers in a more productive way. Alas, I was unable to understand what it is you wished to communicate, and must label this thread a failure.
