New deployable -Ship Tether

Idea for a new deployable:

Small/Medium/Large Ship tether

-In short these deployables would greatly increase the mass of any ships nearby (5/10/15km) and reduce their agility. Making the ship significantly more difficult to "bump" off of the location as well as greatly reducing its ability to escape

-The deployable would be small (10-25m3) allowing for a ship to carry multiple

-The deployable would be freely attack-able without Concord intervention, imparting only a suspect tag on the attacking pilot

-The deployables would have minimal shielding/armor/hull, in theory making them easy to pop by a player in 2-3 volleys (say from a catalyst), but not so thin that they're popped by belt rats instantly.

-The deployable would only last 1/2/3 hours, with no two deployables allowed w/in 50km of each other

-This deployable would not interact with ships already in warp, also would not "automatically" de-cloak a ship unless the ship approached w/in 2k of the deployable as normal

Gameplay created:

-Defensively highsec miners could use these to help reduce bumping of their ships
-If a player attacked the deployable the suspect tag would allow for combat between pilots w/o concord intervention
-The smaller radius of the gravity well would clump pilots together, allowing for some interesting gameplay options
-Content creation pilots could ignore the deployable and attack the miners who are much more vulnerable
-Outside of mining, dropping one of these to "snag" auto-piloting offenders in high sec systems and prepare them for education
-Low sec - all sorts of fun possibilities

NO.
I'm a miner and I'm against multiboxers and afker's. if you can't bother to sit near your pc while playing a video game check your chair-keyboard interface for errors.

Bumping is a detriment to bot-aspirants everywhere. Nice try.

Using a weapon as a deterrent in a diplomatic situation is only viable when you have proven that you have deployed it in the past and are willing to use it in the future.

dnt want it to be easier for my competition to avoid bumping. i'd rather they work for their rocks like i do.

Way to steal my thunder, man.

Also, wouldn't it be great if there was a stickied thread specifically for proposing ideas about mobile structures? oh wait...

Absolutely not. There are ways to reduce your risk of being bumped and ways to mitigate the effects. Use them instead of crying for CCP to hold your hand and do your homework for you.
