They only hit missiles going at you. You can't set up a defender screen unfortunately.

The nice thing about defenders is that you can dedicate multiple launchers to removing a single launcher's worth of DPS. Wait...

Uhhh... how about... you lose a decent amout of DPS but get to take a slight bit less?

Or maybe the good thing is they're useless, so they're cheap. That's it... right?

Put them on an ECM boat, like the griffin. Helps against crows, mostly. The longer you live, the more effective your ECM is.

I would say they will buff defender missiles one day but that just spells a buff to AFK ratting so probably not

They should just make a defender launcher that can be mounted in a mid slot. It would still require a launcher hardpoint, but not a high slot. You could still load them into high slot launchers, but as a defensive system, it makes sense to allow it in the mids too, eh?

yeah, sure, that would be an improvement. I'd might even use it if burning a MWD.
