I don't know specifics, but about 90% of the memory is filled with the large, clunky, ductape-and-WD40 put together legacy code.

Obviously wrong, since TQ is located in England, not on Iceland.

But the coffee machines at the HQ in Reykjavik is most likely geothermal powered :)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

The Eve server is about 5'10", weighs about 185lbs , has peppered gray hair and a moustache, hazel eyes and responds to the name "Anthony" even though his name is clearly Reginald.

He enjoys nights out at the symphony, and training his poodle Buffy.
His pet peeves are people who don't use coasters, and people who prefer the movie over the book.

Would Monsieur prefer the Inferno Rage Assault Missiles or the Caldari Navy variety this evening?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Geothermal was the wrong term, what he meant is that the nanofied quantum drives are powered by all of the hot air generated within the Palace of Westminster.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Indeed. Get rid of the troughers there & we can forget about global warming for another few hundred years at least Twisted

Hamsters work good but the fleet fight petitions require some extra hamsters and elite ferrets with a power supply from windmills.

Let me guess. This is all hosted in a zoo somewhere.

Do they actually really talk about serverspecs each year?

Because then I must have missed it last year,
or it simply wasn't streamed.

Which would be sad. :(

Multiple machines the biggest as at a few months back still a x3650 M3 Everest HF so a Xeon dating back a year or two/

The proxies run on two different types, the higher-end for EVE and the lower-end for DUST/CREST. The solarsystem and service nodes run on 4 different types, there is the stock hardware for most nodes (lowest tier), some higher-end machines (same specs as the EVE proxies), a few experiments we're trying to out, and then an x3650 M3 Everest HF box for Jita and scheduled fleet fights.

Early in that thread they explain the x3650 is an 8 core processor but 4 are turned off to allow overclocking. If I understand correctly of the 4 cores in use one is just for Jita and the rest are reserved for fleet fights.
