Also, if we're going to ask that ANYTHING be done with the CQ, it should be personalization and social stuff.

Give us a use for all those random "trade goods" items... let us display our billion-ISK shirts... fanfest/EVE Vegas/in-game event posters.... our alts randomly "visiting" our CQ to chill on the couch, drink our Quafe, and play video games or watch TV on that screen. For those who would like such things (and face it.... most of us probably would use this one), if all those changes happen, the ability to view someone else's CQ (adds content and some semblance of human interaction) would be kind of awesome. You could even use that little "fittings" display on the table to make certain saved fittings public (and leave others private), so when someone comes into my CQ, they can browse through my fits and see what they might be up against when they come across me in lowsec.
Perhaps even change the hangar lookout to display your 10 favorite ships (like a space Jay Leno's garage) instead of just the one you're currently flying.

If EVE is going to survive another ten years.... and another ten years, after that (and I believe we WILL see at least a 20th anniversary), we MUST increase the social aspect of this game, by leaps and bounds. There must be incentives for players to get involved with eachother and cooperate, be it for carebear stuff or PvP, or just shooting the breeze with eachother.
I am a firm believer in the social aspect of any MMO, and any measures that can be taken to encourage players to become more social, is paramount to the overall success of the game world.

And along with these ideas...... MORE CLOTHING! Customizable clothing!
Some of us want to be unique.... stand out from the crowd. Because we're space hipsters and proud of it.

Because it was a "Good Idea" (TM)...

As to how good, you only have to look as far as the success of some of the 3rd party sites that cater to such entertainment.

CQ is a natural transition moment for new players. It gives them something more to identify with than just a spaceship or a pod floating in the station. That's one of the main reasons why CQ was pushed out while the rest of Incarna was dead in the water. It improved the new player experience.

Aside from the gimmicky nature and the cool character looks, CQ has absolutely no added value in gameplay. Anything that can be done in CQ can be done with station shortcuts and I seriously doubt ANYONE accesses those options by docking up and walking over to the relevant area in their CQ. You do that maybe once. Maybe twice. Maybe three times if you're dedicated. But at some point you stop wasting that time and never do it again.

Adding features to a useless area of the game is a waste of time. Unless Walking in Stations is developed as a gameplay feature, it needs to be left alone.

Station wide ATV racing. You should be able to buy and customize ATV and dirt bike/motorbike fits as well as buy structures for obstacle courses. I'd pay AUR for a raceable R6..

Joffy Aulx-Gao for CSM. Fix links and OGB. Ban stabs from plexes. Fulfill karmic justice.

Honestly, i know some people will **** a moan that 'but eve is just an internet spaceship game, we should remove the CQ.."

Adn thats fine and good, but imo they should go back to the original promise. The CQ and by extension WiS had such potential. I as i said in another thread, would love to be able to move my char over to a bar or a common area and emote stupid crap as i was recruiting. or running the alliance, or other such trivial garbage, instead of just spinning my ship round and round. I think its time to open the damn door.

Given the potential to sell it as an expansion unto itself, aka "Through The Door"... it's appealing.

Exchanging "x" number of PLEX for additional station access, why not ? It's what we already do for other ingame stuff ( or "crap", depending on one's point of view).

Not really. Ive prety much accepted that "the door" will never be opened to the station. What I want is something to do in CQ.

Otherwise just get rid of the damn thing.

Then use Linux, CQ doesn't work with Wine thus removing even the temptation to go to there.

If theyre not going to implement Wis properly i say just remove this completley. Lighten the client and remove a bunch of redundant assets.

ATM im very dissapointed with WiS nothing like what i had hoped it would be.

I never had any issue with the NeX store just being for space Barbie and random cosmetic stuff, like ship painting, I think its fine charging money for, as in theory this will increase server load.

I was not around for the summer of rage, my son occupied my time. But I was quite mad when I heard about what they did with incarnia. TBH, WiS should be its own entity, like Dust is for fps, valk for flight sim, eve ties it all together, wis should be a social aspect where you can spend a few $ to get some intesting outfits.

But I digress

I'll second this. Its a waste of resources to just have it sitting there doing nothing. Either finish is, or put it out of its misery

Gambling? Wow. I can't wait. What a cool thing. Gambling. Roll

EDIT: Oh yeah. CQ? Get rid of it. It's there for dummies who like eye candy.
Wanna little guy to run around somewhere doing neat stuff? GET an MMO! Geez.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
