The launcher keeps freezing, exe file won't work.

Every time I start up the launcher, it freezes... I get some of the password entered or all of it, however it still freezes before I can actually press "log in".

Was playing as little as 3 hours ago just fine. It did this on occasion but I could usually get it working again pretty easily.

Tried the repair tool, but we all know that thing is as useless as **** on a bull... so what are my options?

windows 8-which is ******** and turns my pc into a 10 pound smart phone without a touch screen.

You could try installing a fresh version of the launcher and see if that helps. To do this please follow the instructions below:

1. Delete the 'Launcher' folder which is in the main EVE Online directory.
2. Go to the following URL, which links to the latest launcher installer and download the installer file:

http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_655130.exe

3. Once the file is download please execute it and the launcher installer should start. Be sure to specify the correct current location of your EVE Online directory when prompted, otherwise a full client download will occur.

Once the launcher is installed give it a go and hopefully it will work. If it does not then please submit a support ticket in the Technical category. If you can also make sure to mention that you have created this thread. Thanks.

You can run the game without the launcher. Just run exefile. And on patch days, just run repair. There is no need for the launcher, and it just causes problems. It's nothing but a marketing platform, and adds nothing useful to the game.
