Dear CCP - High Sec Criminal Accountability

I would like to see greater criminal accountability for the High Sec gank rappers who have become a real problem for the High Sec single player and/or the small mining/mission runner corp.

As in real life, I would like to see greater penalties given to those inconsiderate gank rappers who circumvent the War Dec mechanism to fulfill their narcissistic social needs. Penalties which would include but not limited to, being "exiled" to Low Sec for a specific time period based on your criminal history (the more criminal activities you do the longer your exile, no buyouts).

I have seen friendly people leave the game because its not living up to their industrial or game play expectation within the time they have to play. Furthermore, and given the choice, the honest and generally friendly player should not have to experience the worst of what humanity has to offer.

why dont you learn to deal with it by either mining in a more secure place (like low sec but even also in gravimetric sites) or make an effort to fly something with a tank. Battleships don't have a much worse yield than a hulk does and no one but the most determined would bother to suicide gank it, plus it's insurable.

Forcing restrictions on other players because it doesn't meet your expectations of the game is rather poor form and frankly unfair in an MMO.

Don't be a victim, adapt!

The mechanic is already implemented as suicide gankers lose sec status each time they gank. If they lose enough they become KOS in empire. The only way to get back into empire and not be KOS is to go ratting in low/0.0 to rebuild their sec-status until they can "safely" reenter empire space. So in effect they are "exiled" until they grind the rats.

And quoting the OP
Quote:
Furthermore, and given the choice, the honest and generally friendly player should not have to experience the worst of what humanity has to offer.

The worst that humanity has to offer is what happened/is happening in Rwanda or Darfur or something like that. Someone blowing up your internet spaceships is not quite as horrible.

I too got suicide-ganked shortly after the daily downtime, and lost 1b isk worth of goods. But this is Eve. I congratulated my killer on his good kill, dusted myself off, hauled ass back to Jita and scrounged all the isk I had left to restart my business empire. There is something brutal about Eve - and it is one of those games that unashamably punishes stupidity. I decided to gamble and transport 1b worth of goods in a T1 industrial and suffered horribly. Lesson learnt. Now I'm contracting couriers to move my stuff. This is a GAME, have fun with it. Twisted

Probably feeding the troll here.....

CCP Just nerfed Suicide ganking. IE no more insurance if your destroyed by concord. And they already have a sort of "Exile" to low and null. If your sec status gets low enough, you will be shot on sight in empire space.

Im a carebear, and even i say its about balanced now. no further penalties (or rewards) are needed. you just need to fly smarter.

and as far as this line goes...

Welcome to EVE. Just because YOU feel you shouldnt have to, doesn't mean it wont happen. If you don't want to deal with the gankers/ect, Don't undock, and never engage in any market activities.

Every Ad i've seen for EVE advertised the game as a "Cold, Harsh Player-Driven Sandbox Game"
Please point out to me what part of that means "Everyone is friendly to each other, and we all sing Kumbaya by the campfire"

So how many Michi's did you have to rebuy when your icebots got ganked?

You've seen people TRY the game and decide it wasn't for them. I've had two friends from an older game try this and leave....one had no imagination and the other was kinda always known as braindead and didn't want to learn the mechanics. If eve catered to those types of people I wouldn't play it.
