If someone buys a GTC can that be converted to a Plex in-game? In other words, are they different words for the same thing (GTC outside-game, Plex in-game)?

Yes a 60day GTC can be converted into a plex, in options there is a button named convert GTC, you click that, enter your GTC code and it gives you two plex.

No they aren't the same, although the difference might not be important to you as a player. GTC is an actual product, that you can convert among other things to 2 PLEXs. A PLEX on the other hand is just a virtual item in EVE, that you can also exchange for game time.

GTC = Game Time Code

this is a code you buy from CCP or one of the resellers such as shatteredcrystal

you enter that code into the "convert etc" system and it converts into 2x 30 day Plex which appear in your items in the station your docked in, ingame

Thank you for the responses, it was an issue that (never having bought a GTC) confused me from day one ;)
