Aurum should probably not be redeemable with plex.

Just saying, i'm not against the expansion of the cosmetic store but CCP you guys are going to destroy the plex market in short order if you don't split things up.

Introduce some kind of tradeable aurum token you can buy with isk, make it cost the same as a plex, but separate it, please.

Again i'm not opposed to aurum being bought through isk, but pilot license extensions should not be tied to your cash shop currency or you're basically going to make them unaffordable for most people. Plex prices aren't totally out of hand yet but they're going to keep jumping every time you release more skins as demand increases and it's very quickly become pretty strained.

Well it's not exactly rocket science. Although I can see this stupidity being easily explained by the fact CCP hired some ex-EA stooge to instruct them on how to run the cash shop.

its the fact that there are newly created options for use with plex that the price is so high, as people realize "hey i can get a ton more for PLEX" they will buy more, and the prices will go down.

they will ALSO go down once the novelty of the new skins goes down adn people arent as big on the "gotta grab it now" thing.

in short, prices WILL go down, hell, we saw a slight jump when they created dual-character training, it didnt last long either.

The price of PLEX would also go down if more people started actually subscribing.

that too, but do you really want CCP to earn less money? I would rather more people bought PLEX, since thast 20 bucks a piece rather than the 15 (or often less sicne everyone uses 3+ month plan) per person

Yeah, CCP stands to gain more by making sure people use plex instead of monthly subs, as they get $20 rather than $15. Making it so that the average user can't acqurie these means that there's one less (and a fundamental one at that) reason to buy or use plex over a simple subscription. It makes alting more cost prohibitive too, which like it or not is necessary for a number of functions.

I'll have you know my tinfoil hat is both functional and stylish! :P

On a more serious note, I would love for Aurum to be made available for real money.

actually, higher PLEX prices is GOOD for CCP, they get the money when the plex is bought from them, nto when someone redeems it for gametime.

so the higher plex prices go, the more people buy plex, which makes plex prices go down again.

then rise.

then drop.
